Zvi Meitar, Founder
Held a Master's Degree in Law (LLM) from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. Established and, until 2001, headed the Law Offices of Meitar, Liquornik, Geva & Leshem, Brandwein – the third-largest Law firm in Israel. For a period of 12 years served as the Chairman of the Tel Aviv District Bar Association and was a member of the Judiciary Election Committee; also a founder of the Aurec Communications Group. Zvi Meitar established the Meitar Collection Ltd, and was a regular contributor to cultural activities and universities by means of the Zvi and Ofra Meitar Family Fund.
Born in Tel Aviv. Lost his father at the age of 12 and grew up in his teens and high school years in the Veteran Scouts Club, Tel Aviv. Completed Squad Commanders' Course in Golani Brigade; graduate of IDF Officers' Course.

Mr. Meitar was licensed as an attorney. After two years of internship opened his own law office in 1962. This office, established and headed by him, became one of Israel's largest law firms and is known as: Meitar, Liquornik, Geva & Leshem, Brandwein Zvi Meitar left the firm in 2001 and moved to London, but the office continues to bear his name.
Adv. Zvi Meitar was active in the Israeli Bar Association and was elected three times as Chairman of the Tel Aviv District. He was a member of the Judiciary Election Committee for 12 years.
He was a founder and owner of the AUREC Communications Group, comprising the Golden Pages (Dapei Zahav), Golden Channels (Arutzei Zahav) and Amdocs.
Zvi Meitar was a collector. He established the Meitar Collection Ltd and was a benefactor of cultural enterprises and universities by means of the Zvi and Ofra Meitar Family Fund.

Zvi and Ofra Meitar were married for 58 years. He left behind a son, a daughter, six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
